QUOTABLE
“I thought she played really well for us the last four games, she just didn’t score. She does a lot for our offense that doesn’t involve putting the ball in the basket and she usually guards pretty well. She’s very valuable, she just may seem more valuable tonight on a night where she gets 21 points, four steals, and two assists because there’s numbers to go with what she brings us. She had four steals, none of them were while guarding the ball, and they were all off the ball while she was making plays and in the passing lanes. She certainly has the ability to do that and it’s nice to see her do that and hopefully to continue to do that.†â€" Head coach Bob Boldon on Lampkins.
“I know I’ve grown because in previous years there were times that I wouldn’t pass the ball and I’d try to go one against three, if I could, and try to get a layup. So I’ve tried to do a better job of hitting the open person and also not running over people and getting charges and then fouling out of games. I’ve grown as a leader too, trying to communicate with everyone and get everyone ready to go play.†Quiera Lampkins on her growth.
“I know I can do more. Everyone has been pushing me in practice to really keep stepping up in each and every game because everyone knows what I can do. I’m not fully there yet in knowing what I can do but, I’m working everyday in practice to get better.†â€" Kelly Karlis on the improvement she expects.
