QUOTABLE:
“ I think we locked into our principles. In the first quarter we kind of got caught up in scoring, which you can’t do against good teams. That’s obviously a concern moving forward. But we were able to get it fixed. I thought second, third and early fourth quarter defense was very good. Brea Edwards is really good and we held her to nine.†â€" Head coach Bob Boldon on the game overall.
“That was her assignment. She guarded Jada Payne of East Carolina who is ridiculously good. Probably the best player we’ve played since I’ve been here. You watch Kiki mature into more than just a scorer and that’s really nice to see. She’s rebounded the ball a little bit for us. She’s playing good defense. Five rebounds doesn’t seem like a lot, but it’s a lot for us. Two offensive rebounds is a lot for us from a guard. She’s really diversifying her game and it’s making us better because of it.†â€" Head coach Bob Boldon on Quiera Lampkins’ defense.
