Short Story: Ohio women's basketball (6-3) rolled past UNCW (3-5) 75-59 this afternoon for the fourth time in program history. Senior guard Kiyanna Black scored a season high 26 points, followed by junior guard Quiera Lampkins with her third consecutive 20-plus point performance.

THE BASICS:
- Senior guard Kiyanna Black (Columbus, Ohio) scored a season high 26 points, shooting 10-of-18 from the field, including 5-of-11 from three. Black added 5 rebounds and two assists to her performance.
- Junior guard Quiera Lampkins (Gahanna, Ohio) put together her first double-double of the season, scoring 21 points and adding 10 rebounds. Lampkins went 9-of-16 from the field, 1-of-4 from three-point range and was 2-of-2 from the charity stripe.
- Sophomore forward Hannah Boesinger (Hudson, Ohio) tied her season high 10 points along with six rebounds.
- Redshirt senior guard Mariah Harris (Springfield, Ohio) and junior guard Yamonie Jenkins (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) each totaled a team-high four assists for Ohio. Jenkins scored six points and made 2 of 5 shots from the field.
- UNCW's Naqaiyyah Teague posted a double-double. scoring a team-high 19 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Teague nailed 5-of-14 shots from the floor.
- Overall, Ohio shot 44.8% (30-of-67) from the field and 26.1% (6-of-23) from beyond the arc.
- The Bobcats registered 49 rebounds and dished out 12 assists, while recording eight blocks and 11 steals.
- The Seahawks shot 30.8% (20-of-65) from the field and 37.5 (3-of-8) from three-point range.
- UNCW also grabbed 49 boards. They dished out 10 assists and recorded three blocks and four steals.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- UNCW scored the first two points of the game, and never had the lead again. Ohio opened up a 12-4 run until the first media timeout with 5:43 left to go in the opening quarter. The Bobcats then got a lay-up from junior guard Tmisht Stinson (Hattiesburg, Miss.) to give them an eight-point lead 16-8. Black followed up with her first three ball of the day, putting Ohio up 21-10. With 27 seconds left in the first quarter, Black reeled in her first steal of the game, and scored to give Ohio a 23-10 lead to end the opening quarter.
- Ohio rallied off the first seven points of the second quarter to extend their lead to 30-10 with 8:21 left, but the Bobcats gave up a UNCW 13-2 run over the course of four minutes, cutting the Green and White's lead 32-23. Ohio got buckets from Black, Boesinger and Baldwin to maintain a 40-29 lead at halftime.
- The `Cats came out red hot to start the second half, putting together a 14-4 run highlighted by two three-pointers from Black, and lay-ups from Lampkins and Boesinger. Ohio's 54-32 lead was their largest of the day. With great defense, the Green and White maintained their double-digit lead 63-45 going into the fourth quarter.
- UNCW trailed Ohio by 17 points before jumping on a 8-0 run thanks to free throws, a three-ball, and a lay-up. This was the lowest the Seahawks could cut Ohio's lead. The Bobcats got a three from Black to go up 14 points with 2:09 left in the contest. Easy buckets from Baldwin and Lampkins helped keep Ohio's lead.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Ohio recorded their fourth all-time victory against UNCW, and their first since Dec. 29 2004.
- Black has now scored 20 or more points in five contests in 2015-16.
- With her 26 points, Black is now fifth all-time in scoring in program history.
- Lampkins recorded her first double-double of the season, including her third straight 20-plus point game. She now has eight in her career.
- Boesinger scored double-digit figures for the second time this season.

Ohio faces East Carolina tomorrow Dec. 19 at noon E.T. at the Trask Coliseum at UNC-Wilmington. East Carolina dropped its first contest of the Seahawks Hampton Inn Christmas Invitational to Chattanooga 72-61. Ohio is 2-3 all-time against ECU and dropped the most recent contest 76-68 on Dec. 6 2014 in Athens.
