The Short Story: Despite 18 points from senior Kiyanna Black, the Ohio women’s basketball team fell to Illinois, 62-53, in its 2015-16 season opener Sunday afternoon at Parkland College.

How It Happened:
- The Bobcats opened the game on a 7-0 runs through the first two minutes of action.
- Quiera Lampkins opened the game with a made layup and then followed up by making her first two free throws.
- The Bobcats led by as much as 12 points in the first quarter.
- Illinois went on an 11-point run that lasted the final 6:34 of the second quarter to make the game a two-point affair at the half.
- The Bobcats led Illinois 28-26 at the half.
- In the third quarter Illinois tied the game at 28-28 two minutes into the second half, Ohio then went ahead by three, only for the Illini to take a 32-31 lead with 6:17 left.
