HOW IT HAPPENED

QUOTABLE
"Very disappointing day today. The team didn't show the desire and the fight to finish the game off. We had, again, the better of the opportunity. We created more shots and corners than Missouri State, and we, unfortunately, let them finish their opportunities off better than we took our opportunities ourselves. Neither team played a particularly good brand of hockey today. It wasn't certainly the game that we wanted to play. " - 11th-year head coach Neil Macmillan on the loss

"We did a good job creating some opportunities for us. We got nine corners pretty well spread, but our execution on them certainly wasn't up to the level we expect. I think we've got to make sure that as a team we show a greater desire to finish every slight chance and opportunity that we have because we wasted too many today to be expecting to win a MAC game." - 11th-year head coach Neil Macmillan on missed opportunities
