• Portugal scored again in the 51st minute on another penalty corner chance for the RedHawks, tipping in a feed from Dechant for her second goal of the match and 10th of the season. The assist by Dechant marked her seventh helper of the year.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

QUOTABLE
"They did a good job of defending us. I thought they did well getting numbers behind the ball, so we weren’t able to combine and pass the ball together, which is really what we wanted to try and do. It resulted in us not being able to get a flow going with our forwards." -- 11th-year head coach Neil Macmillan

"The first 10 minutes, we came out really hard, and that’s what we wanted to do. Unfortunately, we got caught in the back a few times. We relaxed a bit more when we found out we were going to get in the 'D' and get opportunities to score. I think the fact that we relaxed and let them come at us let us down today." -- Senior Adele Sammons
