The Short Story: 
Despite outgaining the Buffalo (3-4, 1-2 MAC), Ohio (5-3, 2-2 MAC) couldn’t overcome four turnovers as the Bobcats fell to the Bulls by a 41-17 margin Saturday (Oct. 24) at UB Stadium.

 HOW WE GOT HERE:
- Ohio opened the game with a brisk 75-yard drive that culminated on a 6-yard run by senior running back Daz Patterson. Redshirt senior quarterback Derrius Vick was 5-for-5 for 67 yards on the opening possession.
- Buffalo tied the contest on Ohio’s next drive, as free safety Ryan Williamson intercepted a tipped pass and ran it 15 yards into the Ohio endzone.
- The Bulls took a 14-7 lead on a four-yard run by running back Jordan Johnson with 2:20 remaining in the first quarter.
- Redshirt senior kicker Josiah Yazdani kicked a 24-yard field goal to bring the Bobcats within four points with 12:44 left in the second quarter.
- Buffalo put seven points on the board with a one-yard rush by quarterback Joe Licata to cap off an 85-yard drive.
- Bulls linebacker Okezie Alozie intercepted Vick and took it 22 yards for a touchdown to increase Buffalo’s lead to 28-10 with 3:05 left in the first half.
- Kicker Adam Mitcheson kicked a 24-yard field goal as time expired in the second quarter to give the Bulls a 31-10 advantage heading into the break.
- Ohio outgained the Bulls 204-188 in the first half.
- The Bobcats cut Buffalo’s lead to 31-17 with 3:58 left in the third quarter on a one-yard run by redshirt freshman running back Maleek Irons.
- Mitcheson kicked his second field goal of the game, converting from 35 yards out to increase the Bulls advantage to 34-17 early in the fourth quarter.
- The Bulls tacked on another touchdown late in the fourth quarter on a 39-yard touchdown run by Johnson.
- Ohio outgained Buffalo 422-373.

BIG PLAYS:
- The Bobcats went 3-for-3 on third down over the course of their first touchdown drive, with Vick completing a 13-yard pass to Smith, a 14-yard pass to Reid and a 24-yard pass to sophomore wide receiver Robbie Walker that put Ohio at the Buffalo six-yard line. Patterson score on a six-yard touchdown rush the following play.
- Redshirt sophomore wide receiver Brendan Cope hauled in three catches on a drive that produced a 24-yard field goal by Yazdani.
- Redshirt senior cornerback Ian Wells blocked a 31-yard field goal attempt by Mitcheson in the third quarter.
- On the drive that ended with the one-yard touchdown run by Irons, Vick completed a 19-yard pass to Smith, a 28-yard pass to Reid and a 20-yard pass to redshirt senior tight end Keith Heitzman.
