ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University women's cross country team finished the Ohio Invitational second behind Mid-American Conference rival, Miami (30-31) Friday afternoon.
Junior Kayla Scott (Canal Winchester, Ohio) earned third place and was the leading runner for Ohio with a time of 22:55.60.
Following Scott were teammates Krista Roehlig (Green, Ohio) and Allison Roeth (Piqua, Ohio) with times of 23:02.58 and 23:05.77, respectively. Roehlig claim fourth, while Roeth took fifth.
Miami's Jess Hoover (Hilliard, Ohio) had the top time, clocking a time of 22:36.95.
Ohio occupied five of the top ten race times, while Miami held four.
The Cats will head to Oxford next Saturday for the Miami Invitational, which is set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
