COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio University softball team (19-16, 4-2 MAC) suffered a 6-0 setback at Ohio State (18-18, 5-4 Big Ten) in game one of a doubleheader at Buckeye Field on Wednesday (April 9).

Sophomores Amanda Dalton (Salem, Va.) and Savannah Jo Dorsey (Grove City, Ohio) and freshman Taylor Saxton (Circleville, Ohio) each tallied a hit in the loss. Saxton made her first career start in left field.

Junior Lauren McClary (Pasadena, Texas) tallied three strikeouts in four relief frames of work.

The Buckeyes grabbed a 3-0 lead in the home half of the third inning, then tacked on three more scores in the sixth.
