Game Notes

-  -     -Despite the loss, Ohio is still 26-14 in the month of October under Head Coach Frank Solich

-       -  This was the first meeting between the two teams since Oct. 4, 2008

-       -  The Bobcats are now 28-31-1 all-time against the Broncos

-       -  Ohio has forced at least one turnover in four straight games and three turnovers in the last two games

 

Offensive Notes

-       -  Running back Daz’ Patterson recorded his first TD of the season on a three-yard run to put Ohio up 7-0 in the first quarter

-       -  Wide receiver Chase Cochran hauled in Ohio’s longest reception of the day and longest of the season with a 66-yard TD catch in the fourth quarter

-       -  The 66-yard reception was Cochran’s 16th reception of 40 yards or more in his career

-       -  Cochran tallied a team-high four catches and 110 yards

-       -  Patterson recorded a team-high 59 rushing yards on 12 rush attempts

-       -  Quarterback Derrius Vick finished with 246 passing yards on 18 completions

-       -  Vick’s 66-yard TD pass was the longest pass this season for the Bobcats

-       -  Wide receiver Aaron Bradley caught a 22-yard pass in the third quarter, his longest reception of the season

-       -  Ohio’s 95-yard TD drive in the fourth quarter was the team’s longest this year

 

Defensive Notes

-       -  Cornerback Brett Layton recorded Ohio’s longest interception return of the season with a 43-yard return in the first quarter, setting Ohio up on WMU’s three-yard line

-       -  Linebacker Jovon Johnson tallied a sack and was tied for the team-lead with eight tackles

-       -  Safety Toran Davis recorded his first forced fumble of the season

-       -  Defensive lineman Brandon Purdum recovered his first fumble of the season

-       -  The three forced turnovers gave Ohio back-to-back weeks in which they have forced multiple turnovers

-       -  Johnson intercepted his first pass of the season, the second of his career

 

Special Teams Notes

-       -  Punter Mitch Bonnstetter finished with seven punts, placing three inside the 20-yard line

-       -  Kicker Josiah Yazdani hit all three extra point attempts in the game

-       -  Bonnstetter’s 64-yard punt in the second quarter set a new career-long for the junior and he finished with an average of 46.6 yards per punt

-       -  Kick Returner Daz’ Patterson returned three kicks for 29 total yards, with a long of 15
