Mount Pleasant, Mich. â€" The Ohio women’s soccer team fell on the road at Central Michigan Friday afternoon, 3-0.
The Chippewas opened up the scoring in the 17th minute when Laura Gosse poked one into the right corner of the net off of assists from Heather Laeufer and Christen Chiesa.
Despite outshooting Central Michigan 7-5 in the first half, the Bobcats entered the break trailing 1-0.
Ohio responded later in the half and won a penalty kick opportunity that was saved by the Central Michigan goalie.
"After that save, I think we were kind of down," Head Coach Aaron Rodgers said. "We didn't execute well enough defensively or in the attack."
