ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University baseball team returns to the diamond at 6 p.m. on Friday for the first of a three-game Mid-American Conference matchup with Eastern Michigan at Bob Wren Stadium.
NOTING THE BOBCATS
-Ohio's matchup with Eastern Michigan marks the third game of a six-game homestand at Bob Wren Stadium.
-The Bobcats will also take part in their second league series of the year.
-In 11 home games this season, Ohio has a 7-4 record.
-The Bobcats Earned Run Average of 2.93 is the best in the Mid-American Conference, entering this weekend.
-Ohio has five players which are batting .300-or better.
-Ohio is batting .299 as team with two outs.

SERIES INFORMATION - EASTERN MICHIGAN
Ohio will faceoff against Eastern Michigan for the 106th time in school history on Friday. The Eagles lead the all-time series 60-45. This weekend's series marks the first matchup since the 2009 MAC tournament. In that matchup, Ohio fell 13-4 and was eliminated from the tournament.
THE SCOUT ON EASTERN MICHIGAN
The Eagles enter the weekend series in the hopes of staying hot. Eastern Michigan has won three of its last four game, including a 2-1 series win last weekend against Miami. Dating back to March 16, EMU has a 6-3 mark. The Eagles enter the weekend series after it split a pair of games with Ohio State (L, 13-4) and Michigan (12-2). Bo Kinder has reached base in his last 18 contests and has increased his on-base percentage to .406. Likewise, Brent Ohrman is riding a streak of 12 games in which he has reached safely, including a nine-game hitting streak. Lee Longo leads the team with a .348 batting average and 17 RBI. Eastern Michigan has three pitchers with an ERA under 3.00.
