ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio softball team had its last home game of the season canceled on Sunday afternoon due to unplayable field conditions at the Ohio Softball Field. The Bobcats were slated to take on Eastern Michigan in a Mid-American Conference (MAC) game. The contest will not be rescheduled.
Prior to the game being called the Ohio Athletics Department recognized the softball program's graduating seniors including Kelly Krueger, Melissa Bonner (Kings Mills, Ohio), Sara Clark (Ontario, Calif.), Paige Kemezis (Hackensack, N.J.), Jordan Paden (Walla Walla, Wash.) and Emily Wethington (New Palestine, Ind.).
The Bobcats will finish the regular season on an eight-game road trip. The swing begins at Buffalo on Friday, April 29, with first pitch slated for 1 p.m.
