ATHENS, Ohio-Shavon Robinson had a career-high 22 points on 8-for-14 shooting to lead four Bobcats in double figures as Ohio drubbed Miami 76-47 Wednesday evening in the Convocation Center.

Ohio improved to 8-21 overall and 4-12 in the Mid-American Conference, securing the #10 seed in the upcoming Mid-American Conference Tournament. The Bobcats will face seventh-seeded Northern Illinois Sunday at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT) instead of Saturday in DeKalb, Ill., due to the Huskies' hosting the MAC Wrestling Championships on Saturday and Sunday.

Miami dropped to 11-18 and 3-13 and into the tournament's #12 seed, where it will travel to fifth-seeded Eastern Michigan on Saturday.

Joining Robinson in double figures was Alesia Howard (17), Ashley Fowler (15) and Erin Bailes (10). Benson also had 10 rebounds, Fowler had four assists and four steals and Kamille Buckner chipped in four blocks.

Miami was powered by Rachael Hencke's 19 points. Kirsten Olowinski had 12 boards and three steals, while Courtney Osborn posted five assists. Osborn, who came into Wednesday's game as the team's leading scorer, averaging just over 17 points per game, made just one of 10 shots against the Bobcats to net just three points.

The RedHawks jumped out to a 9-5 lead on a Hencke jumper at the 14:26 mark, but Ohio went on a 7-0 run on five points from Howard and a Robinson jumper to snatch the lead back. The two teams battled through a tight contest the rest of the half, with Howard's free throws nosing the Bobcats back in front by one (28-27) at the half.

The Ohio offense exploded in the second half, building a 17-point lead (46-29) by the 12:59 mark on a pair of Bailes free throws. Miami responded with a 9-0 run over the next two minutes, nine seconds to cut the margin to eight on a layup by Lillian Pitts, but Ohio took advantage of several trips to the free throw line down the stretch to gradually pull away and cement the victory.

Ohio got 33 free throw attempts to just 14 for Miami.

The RedHawks also struggled mightily from the 3-point line. While Ohio shot 42.1 percent (8-19) from the arc, Miami mustered just a 9.1 percent (2-22) clip there and a 25.4 percent (17-67) mark from the field in all.
