NASHPORT, Ohio - Sophomore Erin Cahill equaled the best round of her career on Sunday in the final round of the Mid-American Conference Championships to lead the Ohio University women's golf team to a seventh-place finish with a team total of 1,318 (+161).
The Bobcats finished the campaign with a bang at Longaberger Golf Club, posting its best team round of the season on Sunday with a score of 311 (+23).
Cahill (Hilliard, Ohio) fired a final-round 74 (+2) on Sunday to earn a share of eighth place and mark the fourth top-10 finish of her career. She carded four birdies in the fourth round, and eight on the weekend, en route to a 29-over 317.
Junior Colleen Lienesch (Centerville, Ohio) collected the fourth top-20 finish of her career at the MAC Championships, finishing in a tie for 19th with a score of 329 (+41) after shooting 79 on Sunday, while senior Lindsay Bergman recorded a three-over 75 on the final day of play to tie for 29th with a mark of 337 (+49).
Freshman Megan Weaver finished 33rd with a total of 341 (+53) after shooting 88 (+16) on Sunday, while junior Megan Curran (Dublin, Ohio) concluded the tournament with a fourth-round 83 (+11) to tie for 44th place (359, +71).
