RIO VERDE, Ariz. - The Ohio University women's golf team shot a team total of 321 (+37) on Saturday in the second round of the Duramed Collegiate Invitational at Rio Verde, an improvement of four strokes over its first-round total, to remain in 19th place. The Bobcats will head into the final 18 holes of play on Sunday with a score of 646 (+78).
Sophomore Erin Cahill (Hilliard, Ohio) led the Bobcats with a seven-over 78 on the day, moving into a tie for 64th place with Ohio senior Lindsay Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio), who carded an eight-over 79 on Saturday. Both players own total scores of 160 (+18) heading into the final 18 holes of play.
Junior Colleen Lienesch (Centerville, Ohio) also shot 79 (+8) in the second round to move her tournament total to 162 (+20) and earn sole possession of 77th place. Sophomore Jordan Fesh (Toledo, Ohio) will open the final round of play on Sunday in a tie for 89th (166, +24) after shooting 87 (+16) on Saturday, while junior Lauren Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio) carded a second-round 85 (+14) and will enter the final day of play in a tie for 97th place (169, +27).
The final round of the Duramed Collegiate Invitational at Rio Verde will begin with a 10 a.m. ET shotgun start on Sunday.
