Results through round one
The Ohio University women’s golf team fired an first-round 316 (+28) on Monday to finish the opening day of the Lady Herd Fall Classic at Sleepy Hollow Golf & Country Club with a share of third place.
Sophomore Jordan Fesh (Toledo, Ohio) led the way on Monday with a five-over 77, just one stroke shy of matching her career best. She will head into Tuesday’s final round just one four strokes off the lead as she looks for the first top-10 finish of her career.
Junior Lauren Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio) and sophomore Erin Cahill (Hilliard, Ohio) each carded rounds of 79 (+7) on Tuesday, good for a 14th-place tie entering the final 18 holes of the tournament. Senior Lindsay Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio), who turned in the first top-10 finish of her career at last week’s Zippy Invitational, grabbed a share of 20th after Monday’s first round with a nine-over 81, while junior Megan Curran (Dublin, Ohio) shot an 88 (+16) in the opening round and will begin play on Tuesday in a tie for 51st place.
The Bobcats will wrap up their fall season tomorrow with the final round of the Lady Herd Fall Classic. Play is slated to begin at 9 a.m. ET.
