- On his first kick return as a collegian,
- Quarterback Theo Scott received his first start as a Bobcat.
- Ohio scored in two plays on its first possession. Those two plays consisted of a 22-yard run by Scott and a three-yard touchdown run by McRae, which brought him within one of tying his own single season mark of 15.

- McRae finished with three touchdowns to tie his career high. He had previously scored three rushing touchdowns in a game twice (both this season).
- Davidson finished with an average of 39.3 yards on three kick returns, the third-highest single game mark in school history.
- Ohio scored more than 21 points at Bowling Green for the first time since 1976. The 38 were also the most points Ohio has ever scored in a game at BGSU (previous - 34, 1970).
