GAMBIER, Ohio - The Bobcats won eight events and both meets at Saturday afternoon's double-dual against Kenyon College and Ohio State, with Emily Wylam leading the way with victories in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke.
Wylam (Yorktown, Va.) completed the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.93 and the 100-yard backstroke with a 57.46 finish.
Other winners for Ohio included Rachel Heim (San Diego, Calif.) in the 100-yard butterfly, Ilse Petersen (Johannesburg, South Africa) in the 200-yard freestyle, Mallory Rico (Mentor, Ohio) in the 50-yard freestyle and both the 200-yard medley relay and 800-yard freestyle relay teams.
The double-dual meet compared team's times in each in event and calculated scores as if each school competed against one another individually.
Ohio scored 219.50 team points versus Kenyon College's 74.50 team points but against the Buckeyes, Ohio's team total was 152 points while Ohio State scored 148 team points. Against Kenyon, OSU totaled 207 team points.
The meet gave the Bobcats their first and second wins of the season in the same day with Ohio's next competitions taking place on Nov. 2 and Nov. 3 with the `Cats playing host to Akron and Buffalo, respectively.
