Adamovsky Garners Academic All-District Honors

Senior named to District IV Third Team

ATHENS, Ohio ? Ohio?s Briana Adamovsky has been honored for her success in the classroom as well as on the court, earning CoSIDA Academic All-District IV recognition.

A senior from Solon, Ohio, Adamovsky maintains a cumulative grade-point average of 3.46 while double majoring in finance and management. She has been named to the Dean?s List four times during her time at Ohio and serves as secretary of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

Adamovsky?s exploits on the court are well-known throughout the region. The setter is the all-time active assists leader in the Mid-American Conference and recently broke Ohio?s career assists record. She has been named MAC East Division Player of the Week three times this season and was named Collegiate Volleyball Update National Player of the Week this past Wednesday.

The District IV team is made up of student-athletes from Division I schools in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee. To be nominated, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve, and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Team members are selected by a vote of members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) within the district.
