BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (Sports Network) ? Quarterback Josh Harris completed 19-of-24 for 292 yards and four touchdowns as the Bowling Green Falcons toppled Ohio University, 72-21, at Doyt L. Perry Stadium.

Harris also added 75 yards rushing and two more touchdowns on the ground for the Falcons (4-0, 1-0 MAC) in the overwhelming victory.

The Bobcats (1-5, 1-1) completed just two passes the entire contest, one by starting quarterback Dontrell Jackson and the other by third-string signal caller Adam Porter.

Ohio actually got on the scoreboard first early in the first quarter as the Bobcats capped off a 10-play, 63-yard drive with a six-yard touchdown run by Jackson.

From then on it was all Bowling Green as the team scored 30 unanswered points to take a commanding lead that it would never relinquish.

Harris began with a 29-yard touchdown pass to Robert Redd, followed by a 22-yard field goal by Shaun Suisham. Another touchdown hook-up between Harris and Redd, this from 11 yards out, gave the Falcons a 17-7 lead after one period of play.

Harris then found Cole Magner with a 20-yard scoring strike at the 9:20 mark of the second quarter and then followed that up four minutes later with a nine-yard scoring run of his own. After Suisham misses the extra point try Bowling Green was left with a 30-7 edge with just over five minutes to play in the first half.

The Bobcats found their way back into the end zone as backup quarterback Fred Ray ran in from five yards out, but just 33 seconds later Harris struck again with a 28-yard touchdown pass to James Hawkins, giving the Falcons a 37-14 lead at the break.

Ray attempted three passes in the contest but failed to complete any one of them.

The second half proved to be more of the same for Bowling Green as it ran off another 35 unanswered points. P.J. Pope tallied the first score on a 14-yard run, followed by a one-yard carry into the end zone for Harris, pushing the lead to 51-14 after three periods of play.

Backup quarterback Andy Sahm made his appearance in the fourth quarter for the Falcons and added an eight-yard scoring toss of his own to Redd just six seconds into the period. Four minutes later Sahm called his own number and scampered into the end zone from 16 yards away.

B.J. Lane finally capped off the night's scoring for Bowling Green midway through the final quarter as he added a 48-yard touchdown run to push the Falcon advantage to 72-14.

The Bobcats added a meaningless touchdown with 1:43 remaining in regulation as Porter ended a 12-play, 69-yard drive with an 11-yard touchdown run of his own.

Porter led Ohio with 35 yards rushing on six attempts and also had 12 yards on his only pass attempt.

Ohio generated 181 yards rushing but just 19 passing on the day, compared to Bowling Green which put up 349 yards rushing an another 338 yards through the air.

The Bobcats converted just 4-of-13 attempts on third down and had just 12 first downs overall, while the Falcons posted 37 first downs and averaged just under nine yards per play.

The 72 points scored by the Falcons are the most since the team shut out Defiance 73-0 back in 1956. Meanwhile, Ohio tied its school record for the most points ever allowed in contest as the school lost to Syracuse 72-0 in 1916.

The Falcons are now averaging just under 51 points peg game this season which places them near the top nationally.

Ohio returns to action next Saturday with its 2 p.m. Homecoming contest against Eastern Michigan at Peden Stadium.
