A member of the Ohio University Athletics Broadcast staff since October 2021, Sam Mader joined Ohio Athletics' full-time staff in August 2025 as the Director of Video Services. In this role, Mader helps manage all Ohio Bobcats Studios productions for ESPN+, and produces video content for stories on athletes, coaches, and key events across Ohio Athletics. Additionally, he oversees and trains student staff for live video board productions, collaborating with marketing to ensure accurate execution of game day experiences on live video boards.
As a student at Ohio, Mader worked with the broadcast and video services for all Ohio Athletics ESPN+ streams in a variety of different roles, ranging from director to videographer to audio mixer. He has also worked with Ming Entertainment, Program Productions, and Ohio Sports Television as a production assistant during live football, basketball, and volleyball productions.
Previously, Mader worked in the music industry, as an intern for Vaughan Music Studios in Upper Arlington, Ohio, and as a mixing engineer for Where The Hits At?, in Los Angeles, Calif., where he mixed 24 songs for Universal Production Music, used across the Cleveland Cavaliers social media, and in NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition. He is also a founding member of The Fibonacci Fellas, a group local to Athens, serving various roles such as performing artist, audio and mixing engineer, and producer.
Mader graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication in December 2024. Originally from Fairborn, Ohio, Mader currently resides in Athens.
