Mike DeMoss joined Ohio as Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement in September 2025.

In his current role, DeMoss serves as the point of contact for in-game football fan experience and game presentation, and men’s basketball marketing and fan engagement efforts. He also oversees the marketing graduate assistants and undergraduate interns. 

As the Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement at the University of North Texas, DeMoss served as the point of contact for volleyball and women’s basketball marketing efforts, as well as coordinating UNT’s football tailgating area, Mean Green Live. For volleyball and women’s basketball, he directly managed promotional planning, scripting, and game presentation, collaborating with multiple internal and external departments for the Mean Green. 

At UNC Charlotte (2023-24), DeMoss served as the Marketing Assistant, where he oversaw marketing efforts for volleyball and softball, the main point of contact for Junior 49er Kids Club, and was the secondary contact for men’s basketball. 

DeMoss’s career began as a Marketing and Promotions Intern at Akron (2021-2023), working as the lead intern for men’s basketball before coming the primary contact for baseball, women’s soccer and women’s basketball.

Outside of his day-to-day responsibilities in his previous roles, DeMoss served as the Field Director for the 2023 Famous Toastery Bowl in Charlotte, NC, and as a band/cheer liaison during the first round of the 2024 D1 Men’s Basketball Championship.

DeMoss is an active and contributing member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), currently serving as a member of the Personal and Professional Development Committee, previously serving on the Awards Committee.

A native of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, DeMoss graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Studies – Sport Management from The University of Akron in 2023.
