Kyle Schwieger has been a member of the Ohio University athletics department since August 2021, as a creative videographer for social media. He was promoted to Director of Digital Content and In-Venue Production in the fall of 2025.
In his current role, Schwieger creates social media content to promote sporting events and ticket sales while also capturing videos and photos for pregame, live action and post-game content. He has created content for two bowl games for Ohio in 2022 (Arizona Bowl) and 2024 (Cure Bowl).
Previously, Schwieger was a social media management intern in New York City. He managed social media for agencies that specialized in talent management for tech industry professionals and consulting for tech startups.
In the summer of 2023, Kyle was a videography intern for the Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation. He worked as a videographer and photographer for the nonprofit to promote resources for K-12 teachers to increase student engagement with material science. Schwieger has many freelance experiences, including filming in game and behind the scenes football of The Basketball Tournament for Carmen’s Crew Documentation. He also filmed for a comedy special by Brandon T. Jackson and Tony Pape called “Chest Out”.
Schwieger graduated from Ohio University in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree, a business administration minor and a social media certificate. While at Ohio, he was also the president of Theta Chi Fraternity and a member of the Kappa Alpha Zeta Marketing Fraternity.
