Dr. Danielle Thornsberry joined Ohio Athletics in 2024 as a team physician, primarily working with men's basketball and wrestling.

Prior to Ohio, Dr. Thornsberry has worked as a team physician at Kansas State University covering football, women's basketball and baseball. She completed her sports medicine fellowship training at the University of Connecticut where she covered football, men's and women's basketball and ice hockey.

Dr. Thornsberry is originally from Bellevue, OH. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Evolutionary Biology from Case Western Reserve University in 2014. She is an Ohio University alumna, earning her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from Ohio University’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019. She completed her residency in family medicine at Dublin Methodist Hospital in Dublin, Ohio.
