Conner Gates is a Dual MBA/MSA graduate student and currently serves as the Sports Operations & Events Assistant Coordinator for Ohio University Athletics. Gates’s responsibilities include facilitating staffing roles for a number of sports, interacting with coaching staffs and officials, coordinating timelines for gameday operations and contributing to the development and upkeep of the athletic facilities.   

Before attending Ohio University, Gates earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Business Administration & Sports Leadership and Management from Pacific University (OR) with concentrations in Management and Finance in 2023 and 2024, respectively. While at Pacific, Gates was a member of the Pacific University Men’s Swim Team, the American Marketing Association, Business Club and founded the Sports Analytics Club. Gates has completed internships with the Portland Timbers, Pacific University Baseball and volunteered at the NCAA Women’s March Madness Tournament.  

A native of Aberdeen, Washington, Gates has interests in working in the professional sports industry, specifically becoming a General Manager of an NBA franchise one day. He enjoys working out, collecting bobbleheads, watching basketball and creating memories.
