A member of Ohio Athletics' student staff since 2024, Cade Williamson joined the department’s full-time staff as the Director of Business Development in July 2026. Most recently, he supported the Athletics Director suite as the Assistant Coordinator of Analytics for the 2025-26 school year.
Previously, Williamson worked as the public address announcer for Ohio baseball. He also served as a play-by-play broadcaster and talk show personality locally for Pure Rock 105 WXTQ, covering high school athletic events in Athens County from the fall of 2021 until the spring of 2025. As a native of Newark, Ohio, he also worked as a freelance high school football reporter for the Newark Advocate from the fall of 2023 to the fall of 2025.
A three-time Bobcat, Williamson earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism in 2024, a Master of Business Administration in 2025, and a Master of Science in Sports Administration in 2026 from Ohio University. Williamson currently resides in Athens, and his favorite sporting event is the Indianapolis 500.
