Courtney O'Malley

Courtney O'Malley joined the Ohio coaching staff in May of 2024 as an assistant coach. 

O'Malley played four seasons, from 2018 to 2021, at UNC-Asheville where she was a team captain. A goalkeeper, O'Malley was named to the Big South All-Freshman team in 2018 and the Big South All-Academic team as a senior in 2021. In addition to her on the field accolades, O'Malley was the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President while majoring in psychology. 

O'Malley most recently served as a graduate assistant for Springfield College women's soccer program. For two seasons, O'Malley was a key part in the Pride's strategy, recruitment, and operations. O'Malley contributed to training sessions, targeted and evaluated recruits, oversaw film operations and led film sessions, and individually facilitated goalkeeper training sessions. 

In addition to her coaching at Springfield College, she served as a graduate student athletic counselor. In this role, O'Malley counseled student-athletes in regards to the academic and personal lives, academics, and provided mental wellness and performance resources. 

Prior to making her way to Springfield, O'Malley worked in coaching and development for youth soccer. She worked for Berkshire Soccer Academy and ABYSA Highland Football Club where she oversaw training, professional development, and communications with parents and fellow coaches.
