2025: Academic All-MAC ... All-MAC First Team ... Made 50 appearances and 50 starts ... Tallied 43 runs, 55 hits, nine doubles, two triples, 21 home runs, 69 RBI's, and three stolen bases ... Recorded a .302 batting average, .720 slugging percentage, and a .422 on base percentage ... Season-high three hits and two doubles vs Ball State (May 10) ... Season-high four runs, seven RBI's, and six putouts at NIU (April 5) ... Season-high two triples versus VMI (April 12) ... Season-high two home runs at WMU (May 16). 

2024: Made 14 appearances with six starts ... Tallied five runs, five hits, one home run, two RBI's and recorded a .324 on-base percentage ... Season-high two hits at Ball State (March 30).

PRIOR TO OHIO: Played for the Canfield High School baseball team. After his performance during the 2022 season, he was named First Team All-Conference and is slated to captain the 2023 team. With Slanker's help, the 2021 Canfield High School baseball team were both conference and district champions. 
 
PERSONAL: Slanker is the son of Abby and Larry and has one sister, Lauren. He intends to major in sports medicine with the goal of becoming a physical therapist. In his spare time, he likes to lift, walk, play video games and golf. Slanker's favorite athlete is Andrew McCutchen and he roots for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins as well as the Cleveland Cavaliers.
