Tim Brown joined the baseball staff in January 2022 as an assistant coach.
During the 2024 season, Brown helped five Bobcats earn Academic All-MAC honors and three student-athletes (Nick Dolan, Tyler Peck and A.J. Rausch) earn spots on the CSC Academic All-District Team. Under Brown, Luke Olson and Tyler Peck recorded three saves each and helped Ohio earn wins against MAC opponents, Central Michigan, Northern Illinois and Toledo.
In 2023, Brown helped eight Bobcats reach the Academic All-MAC team and three student-athletes (Tyler Peck, Jacob Tate, and A.J. Rausch) to the Academic All-District List. Alec Patino and Luke Olson earned MAC Player of the Week honors with Brown’s help. Along the way, Olson pitched a complete-game shutout and the Bobcats swept Toledo and Eastern Michigan.
During the 2022 season, Brown assisted Moore in helping Colin Kasperbauer, Edward Kutt IV, and Mason Minzey earn All-MAC honors. Additionally, ten student-athletes were named to the All-MAC Academic team.
Before coming to Athens, Brown was the assistant coach at Eastern Illinois where he worked primarily with the pitching staff. There, he coached RHP Will Klein, who was the fifth-round pick in the 2020 draft by the Kansas City Royals, and Cameron Doherty, a 2021 Second Team All-OVC pitcher. Brown helped the Panthers reach a 25-23 record, their second straight winning season.
Prior to Eastern Illinois, Brown was an assistant coach for South Carolina Upstate from 2016 to 2019. With the Spartans, Brown worked primarily with the pitching staff. From 2012-15, Brown was the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Lincoln Memorial University.
From 2009-12, Brown was the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for George Washington University. He held the same title at Mount Saint Mary’s, where he coached from 2006-08. There, he helped the Mountaineers share the 2007 Northeast Conference regular season title, win the 2008 conference tournament, and make an appearance in the 2008 NCAA Tournament.
Brown was the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Coppin State University from 2005-06 and the pitching coach at Siena College from 2004-05.
Brown was a pitcher at Lindenwood University where he graduated with a degree in physical education with an emphasis in sports management in 2004.
