Justin Sumner

Coach Sumner enters his first season on the Bobcats staff for the 2021-22 season.  Sumner began his coaching career at the University of Saint Mary where he finished his playing career.  He spent a season as a student-assistant working with the outfielders and hitters.  He also has stops at Saint Anselm College where he spent three seasons working with the hitters, infielders and was involved with recruiting.  After Saint Anselm, he spent one season at New England College serving with the same responsibilities. 

Prior to those stops he served as the assistant and head coach at his high school of Rich Hill in Missouri.  Sumner has also served as the head coach for a season of the North Adams Steeplecats in the NECBL Summer League.  He also served as a head coach in the Myrtle Beach Collegiate League.  He assisted the Nevada Griffons of the MINK League Summer baseball to back-to-back Top 8 finishes in the NBC World Series hosted in Wichita Kansas. 

Sumner will be assisting the hitters, coaching the outfielders as well as serving as first base coach during games.  He will also be assisting with recruiting duties for the staff.
