VARSITY OHIO MISSION & HISTORY

Founded in 2012, Varsity OHIO exists to celebrate the lifelong bond between Ohio Athletics and the incredible individuals who helped build its legacy. Our mission is simple: to elevate the alumni experience by creating meaningful opportunities to stay connected, stay engaged, and stay proud of the green and white.

Whether it’s rekindling relationships with former teammates, supporting today’s student-athletes, or strengthening ties to the University we love, Varsity OHIO is the home where Bobcats continue to belong.

TRADITION OVER A CENTURY IN THE MAKING 

The roots of Varsity OHIO run deep. More than 100 years ago, the Men’s “O Association” and, in 1926, the Women’s “Varsity O” were founded to unite student-athletes around shared pride, camaraderie, and excellence.

Built on loyalty, tradition, and the unmistakable spirit of Ohio Athletics, these organizations shaped generations of Bobcats.

In 2012, we reimagined and revitalized this tradition as Varsity OHIO, an exclusive, vibrant community for former student-athletes, athletic trainers, spirit squad members, and team managers. Today, we carry forward that proud legacy while creating fresh, energizing experiences that keep our alumni network strong and connected.
