Ohio Wrestling’s Perrine Selected to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® At-Large Team

ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio wrestler Sal Perrine was named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced.

Perrine (Northfield, Ohio), a Business major with a 3.777 GPA, won his first MAC title to secure his third trip to the NCAA Championships as a Bobcat. Perrine went 3-0 in Buffalo, defeating fellow NCAA qualifier Malachi DuVall of George Mason in the championship match. During the regular season, Perrine went 21-6 overall, 13-1 in duals and was 9-0 in the conference matchups.

Perrine advanced to day two at the 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championships, entering the weekend at the 15^th seed and defeating Jake Daley of North Carolina on day one.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student- athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.

NCAA and NAIA Women's At-Large Academic All-America® First-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
