
Ohio Wrestling’s Perrine Selected to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® At-Large Team

ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio wrestler Sal Perrine was named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced.

Perrine (Northfield, Ohio), a Business major with a 3.777 GPA, won his first MAC title to secure his third trip to the NCAA Championships as a Bobcat. Perrine went 3-0 in Buffalo, defeating fellow NCAA qualifier Malachi DuVall of George Mason in the championship match. During the regular season, Perrine went 21-6 overall, 13-1 in duals and was 9-0 in the conference matchups.Â

Perrine advanced to day two at the 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championships, entering the weekend at the 15th seed and defeating Jake Daley of North Carolina on day one. Â

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student- athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.

NCAA and NAIA Women's At-Large Academic All-America® First-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
