Ohio Swim’s DiBetta and Szoke Complete Thursday’s NCAA Championship Competition

ATLANTA, Georgia – Ohio swim junior Zita Szoke and senior Casadie DiBetta finish their first day of competition at the 2026 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by Georgia Tech, in Atlanta, Georgia.

In Thursday's 200-yard freestyle, Szoke (Serbia, Becej) finished fifth in her preliminary heat, finishing 37th overall with a time of 1:46.03.

In the 100-yard breaststroke, DiBetta (St. Clairsville, Ohio) finished her preliminary heat in eighth place and finished 43rd overall with a time of 1:00.67.

Both Szoke and DiBetta are back in action on Friday, March 20, for their second day of competition. DiBetta will kick things off Friday morning with the 200-yard breaststroke, and Szoke will swim shortly after in the 50-yard freestyle. Prelims are set for 10 a.m. ET with finals at 6 p.m. ET. Only the top eight finishers in each event will swim in the final round. Both sessions can be seen on ESPN+.
