CLEVELAND, OHIO – Junior Astrid Pichardo was named Mid-American Conference Diver of the Week for her performance during the week of Jan. 26, the league announced this afternoon (Feb. 3).

Pichardo (Guanajuato, Mexico) earned Diver of the Week honors for the second time this season for her efforts in Ohio's meet against Akron University, January 30-31^st. Individually, Pichardo placed first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. Pichardo left Akron with new personal records in both events, with a 1-m score of 297.45 and a 3m score of 327.15, and led the Bobcats' diving efforts over the weekend.

Pichardo and the rest of the diving team head to Miami (OH) this Friday. Feb. 6, to compete in a diving-only meet this weekend (Feb.6-7). Both the swim and diving teams will compete in the MAC Championship later this month at Akron University (Feb 25-28).
