CLEVELAND – Ohio women's track & field's middle distance runner
Ellie Greenwell was named the Mid-American Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league on Wednesday, Jan. 14.

Ellie Greenwell (Park Hills, Ky.) was Ohio's top track performer at the Marshall Alumni Classic this past weekend. Greenwell kicked off the meet with a first-place finish in the women's mile. She recorded a PR of 4:51.20 that ranks first in the MAC and 31st in the NCAA. Greenwell also raced in the women's 1000m. In her first time competing in the event, she won with a time of 2:49.92. Greenwell's time in the women's 1000m is a new Ohio school record.
Greenwell and the Bobcats will be back in action at the Indiana Invitational on Friday, Jan. 16.
