ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio women's basketball team had added freshman Vivienne Macheck to its roster for the 2025-26 season, as announced by head coach
Bob Boldon on Wednesday, Sept. 24.

Macheck joins the Bobcats from Embrach, Zürich where she played basketball at the UNITED School of Sports. She also played high school basketball at Napoleon High School in Ohio from 2021-22. Macheck was a member of the 2025 u23 BC Alte Kanti Aarau team and helped her team to a Swiss National Championship title. During the 2024-25 season, Macheck played in 43 games with the BC Alte Kanti Aarau team. During the 2023-24 season, Macheck played in a combined 25 games with the BC Winterthur and BC Alte Kanti Aarau teams. She served as captain for the same team in 2024 and 2025.
Macheck is the daughter of Ann and Wenzel Macheck. She has two siblings, Spencer and Eve. She enjoys basketball, bowling, card games, shopping and traveling. Her favorite athlete is her sister, Eve. Macheck intends on majoring in business/marketing.
