ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio Athletics has announced its promotional schedule for the 2025-26 women's basketball season.
The Bobcats will host 14 home games at the Convocation Center as they look to make another run at a Mid-American Conference title under the leadership of Head Coach
Bob Boldon.
Ohio tips off the 2025-26 season on Sunday, Nov. 9, against Columbia for the Home Opener. Fans are encouraged to pack the Convo as the Bobcats return to the hardwood for another exciting year of women's hoops in Athens.
The fun continues on Thursday, Nov. 13, when Ohio hosts Morehead State for Education Day. Schools from across Southeast Ohio will fill the Convo for a special 11 a.m. tip, bringing hundreds of local students for a day of learning and Bobcat basketball.
On Saturday, Dec. 20, fans are invited to celebrate the holidays early with Ugly Christmas Sweater Day when the Bobcats take on Saint Louis. Fans wearing their ugliest holiday attire can join the spirit of the season, and halftime will feature a can't-miss performance from the Performance Dogs of Ohio.
Ohio will turn the Convo green on Saturday, Jan. 24, against Toledo for the Green Out Game. The first 300 fans in attendance will receive a light-up rally towel as we light up the Convo in Bobcat pride.
The team takes a trip back in time on Saturday, Jan. 17, against Northern Illinois for 2000s Throwback Day. Fans can break out their favorite early 2000s fits, and the game atmosphere will feature music and graphics celebrating the decade of flip phones, pop hits, and Y2K nostalgia.
The Bobcats will celebrate women and girls in sports on Wednesday, Feb. 4, against Western Michigan for the annual Women in Sports Game. The first 300 fans will receive a white Ohio Athletics branded Aeroloft Belt Bag, and the game will highlight the impact of women in athletics across Ohio University and beyond.
On Saturday, Feb. 7, the Bobcats will honor Black History Month when they take on a to-be-determined opponent from the Sun Belt Conference. The game will feature special recognitions and in-game features celebrating excellence and achievement in the Black community.
Ohio's annual Pink Game returns on Saturday, Feb. 14, versus Kent State. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to support breast cancer awareness, with in-game recognition of survivors and opportunities to contribute to the cause.
The regular-season home slate concludes on Saturday, March 7, when the Bobcats host Miami (OH) for Senior Day and the Battle of the Bricks. Ohio will honor its seniors prior to tipoff and look to close the season strong against its long-time rival.
Additional specialty games include a potential Turn It Gold Game in support of childhood cancer awareness and a Morgan's Message Game dedicated to mental health awareness in collegiate athletics (dates to be announced).
