CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference has released the 2025-26 men's basketball conference schedule, the league announced today (Aug. 21). The 18-game league schedule will see Ohio play nine games in the Convocation Center and nine on the road and include two matchups with new conference member, UMass.
Ohio opens MAC play on Saturday, Dec. 20 when the Bobcats host Bowling Green in the Convocation Center. The Bobcats hit the road for back-to-back matchups in the start of Michigan starting on Tuesday, Dec. 30 when Ohio heads to Mount Pleasant to take on Central Michigan, before heading to Ypsilanti, Mich. on Saturday, Jan. 3 to face off with Eastern Michigan.
Ohio returns to Athens on Tuesday, Jan. 6 to take on new MAC member UMass in the Convo. This is the first time that the Bobcats and Minutemen will face off since 2013. Ohio is 0-3 all-time against UMass. Ohio is back on the court in Athens on Saturday, Jan. 10 when they host Buffalo.
Tuesday, Jan. 13 sees the Bobcats head to Toledo, Ohio to face off with Toledo before heading to Muncie, Ind. on Saturday, Jan. 17 to take on Ball State. Ohio returns to the Convo for back-to-back home games starting on Tuesday, Jan. 20 when Ohio hosts Northern Illinois for the final time, before welcoming Akron on Saturday, Jan. 24 for their only meeting of the season.
The Bobcats are back on the road on Tuesday, Jan. 27 when they head to Kent, Ohio to take on Kent State for the only time this season, before heading north to Buffalo on Saturday, Jan. 31 to take on the Bulls.
Ohio returns to Athens on Tuesday, Feb. 3 when they host Western Michigan in the Convocation Center.
After a break in conference action for the MAC-SBC Challenge, Ohio will have a bye week before heading to Oxford, Ohio on Saturday, Feb. 14 to take on Miami in the first round of the 'Battle of the Bricks'. The Bobcats then return home for a matchup with Ball State on Tuesday, Feb. 17 in the Convo.
After the Bobcats take one final trip to DeKalb, Ill. on Saturday, Feb. 21 to face off against NIU, Ohio will have one more bye before hosting Toledo on Saturday, Feb. 28 in Athens.
Ohio heads to Amherst, Mass. for the first time to take on UMass on Tuesday, March 3, before concluding the 2025-26 regular season on Friday, March 6 when Miami comes to Athens for the second installment of the 'Battle of the Bricks' in the Convocation Center.
The 2026 Mid-American Conference Tournament will take place March 12-14 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
