CLEVELAND – The 2025 Ohio football program has been selected to finish third in the 2025 Mid-American Conference Head Coaches Preseason Poll, the league announced today (July 24). The poll was determined by the league's 13 head coaches.

Toledo was selected to finish first with 135 points, followed by Miami (Ohio) with 131 points. The Bobcats garnered 123 points to place third, finishing ahead of Buffalo (115), Northern Illinois (94) and Bowling Green (81).Â

Toledo was selected to win the MAC with six votes, while Miami (Ohio) and Ohio trailed with four and three votes, respectively.Â

The Bobcats are set to open the 2025 season on Thursday, Aug. 28, when they take on Rutgers. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET on BTN at SHI Stadium in Piscataway, N.J.Â
