Ohio's 2024 season was one for the record books, highlighted by its first 11-win season in program history, first MAC Championship victory since 1968 and third consecutive season with ten or more victories. Notably, Ohio's dominant 38-3 win over rival Miami (Ohio) in Detroit marked the largest margin of victory as well as the first time a team did not score a touchdown in a MAC Championship. Additionally, the Bobcats became the first MAC team to win six consecutive bowl games with their 30-27 victory in the 2024 StaffDNA Cure Bowl.Â
Â
Individual records include wide receiver Coleman Owen becoming the leading single-season receiver— joining the ranks of LaVon Brazill and Donte' Foster— while both running back Anthony Tyus III and quarterback Parker Navarro rushed for over 1,000 yards. Notably, Navarro is the second quarterback in program history to log over 1,000 yards on the ground in a single season— an accomplishment an Ohio quarterback hasn't claimed since Kareem Wilson (1996)—and he is the first quarterback to record over 2,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in the same season.Â
