ATHENS, Ohio— Ohio football alumnus
Roman Parodie signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent today (April 26).

Parodie (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) appeared in 51 games for Ohio from 2020-24. He logged 124 total tackles—including 75 solo stops—four tackles for loss, three interceptions and 28 passes defensed. Parodie was a part of the defensive unit that held Miami (Ohio) to just three points during the 2024 Mid-American Conference Championship game, logging five tackles and one pass breakup individually. During Ohio's 38-7 victory over Bowling Green in 2023, he returned a fumble for his first collegiate touchdown.

Prior to Ohio, Parodie was a two-year letterwinner at Cardinal Gibbons High School. He helped lead the Chiefs to a 10-3 record, a district title and a playoff run to the third round. Parodie finished his high school career with 43 total tackles—  including 19 solo stops— 21 pass breakups, seven interceptions and two blocked field goals. Additionally, Parodie competed in track & field, earning two letters.Â
