Mader Wins Discus on Day 1 of the We Fly Challenge

ATHENS, Ohio – Several field athletes from the Ohio's women's track & field team recorded impressive personal records on the first day of competition at the We Fly Challenge on Friday, April 11.
Freshman Lauren Mader (Green Bay, Wis.) led Ohio with a first-place finish in the women's discus. Mader recorded a personal-best mark of 45.87 meters (150-6).
Freshman Ashley Cornathan (Hilliard, Ohio) was Ohio's top finisher in the women's hammer throw. Cornathan placed seventh with a mark of 43.16 meters (141-7). Senior Millie Ryan (Vincent, Ohio) recorded a major PR in the women's hammer throw. Ryan finished 11th with a personal-best mark of 41.13 meters (134-11).
The Bobcats will be back in action at the We Fly Challenge on Saturday, April 12.
