Toledo cut the Ohio lead to one in the top of the fifth inning, scoring on an RBI single, and putting a runner on third with two outs. However, the Ohio defense was able to get the final out of the inning, ending the threat and sending the game to the bottom of the fifth with the Bobcats still leading 3-2.
After a scoreless sixth inning from both teams, Toledo looked to rally in the top of the seventh. However, Miller and the rest of the Ohio defense was able to retire the Rockets in order, securing the 3-2 win.
