
Ohio Swim and Dive Win 200 Medley Relay on First Day of 2025 MAC Championships

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Ohio swimming and diving team opened competition at the 2025 Mid-American Conference Championships hosted by Buffalo Wednesday evening (Feb. 26) with a splash, claiming the 200 medley relay championship in the first event of the meet. The Bobcats wrapped up day one in second place with 70 points.
Ohio made an immediate splash in the first event of the night, the 200-yard medley relay, placing first overall and setting a new school and pool record. The Ohio team made up of junior Allison Schrank (Blaine, Minn.), junior Casadie DiBetta (St. Clairsville, Ohio), sophomore Zita Szoke (Hodmezovasarhely, Hungary) and graduate student Caroline Dunigan (Lansdale, Pa.) sprinted to first with a time of 1:36.98.
Ohio was back in action for the 800 free relay with the team of senior Gabrielle McKee (Gilbertsville, Pa.), junior Peyton Binns (Hudson, Ohio), sophomore Katie Buroker (Zionsville, Ind.) and junior Anna McGrath (Lewis Center, Ohio) placing four with a time of 7:19.75.
Ohio is back in action for day two of the 2025 MAC Championships on Thursday, Feb. 27. Prelims are set to begin at 10 a.m. ET, with finals scheduled for 6 p.m. ET. Fans can head to the MAC Championship Central page for links for both streams.
