OXFORD, Ohio – The Ohio women's basketball team (4-16, 2-8 MAC) fell 72-34 at Miami (12-8, 5-5 MAC) on Saturday, Feb. 1.

Anyssa Jones (Westerville, Ohio) led the team in scoring with 10 points and finished with a team-high six rebounds. Sophomore Bailey Tabelling (Seymour, Ind.) recorded a team-high three steals and sophomore
Asiah Baxter (Indianapolis, Ind.) tallied a team-high two assists.
Both teams got off to an alright start. Despite making the first few baskets of the game, the Bobcats' offense suffered for majority of the quarter as the team struggled to score. After the first quarter, Miami led Ohio 11-6.
Miami's offense unleashed on Ohio at the start of the second quarter, giving the Redhawks a 20-6 lead with 8:24 to go. Throughout the quarter, the Bobcats continue to struggle with scoring. Heading into the locker room, Ohio trailed Miami 30-14.
Miami dominated the rest of the game and ultimately earned a 72-34 win over Ohio.
The Bobcats will be back in action at Central Michigan on Wednesday, Feb. 5. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. ET and the game will be available to watch on ESPN+.
