CLEVELAND, OHIO – Senior
Casadie DiBetta was named Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week for her performances during the week of Dec. 1, the league announced this afternoon (Dec. 9).
DiBetta (St. Clairsville, Ohio) earned Swimmer of the Week honors for her efforts at the Toyota US Open this past weekend in Austin, TX. DiBetta competed in the 100 and 200-meter breaststroke during the event. She placed 10th in both events, posting impressive times of 1:09.93 in the 100m and 2:32.37 in the 200m. DiBetta also saw time drops in both events, cutting 1.39 seconds from her entry time to her finals swim in the 100m and dropping more than a second from prelims to finals in the 200-meter breaststroke.
DiBetta and the rest of the Bobcat swimmers return to the pool on Jan. 16th to face MAC opponent Bowling Green, where DiBetta and the remaining Bobcat seniors will be recognized.
