ATHENS, Ohio –Four Bobcat wrestlers are featured in this week's national weight class rankings, released on Tuesday following the weekend's competition.
Holding steady at 174 lbs, redshirt senior
Garrett Thompson (Murrysville, Pa.) is ranked ninth by Intermat and 12
th by FloWrestling. Thompson comes off a 2024-25 season where he posted a 30-7 record, going 10-1 in duals and an undefeated 7-0 in MAC competition. Thompson took home the title at 174 lbs. at the 2025 MAC Wrestling Championships, and was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Wrestler.
Also wrestling at 174 lbs, redshirt sophomore
Jeremy Olszko (Northfield, Ohio) checks in at 26
th in Wrestlestat's national rankings. Olszko owns a 3-2 record on the season, including a 2-0 record in dual meets. Olszko defeated Morgan State's Cort Vann by forfeit, and 30
th ranked Luke Condon of Wisconsin by decision, 7-1.
At 184 lbs, redshirt senior
Sal Perrine (Northfield, Ohio) moves up a spot to 31
st in Intermat's rankings, slots in at 21
st in FloWrestling's rankings and 25
th via Wrestlestat. Perrine holds a 2-0 record this season, winning matches in both of the Bobcat's dual meets this season. Perrine defeated Morgan State's Sam Diggs by technical fall at 5:00 and defeated Wisconsin's Cale Anderson (ranked 33rd by Intermat) by major decision, 10-2.
At 197 lbs, Redshirt Senior
Zayne Lehman (Akron, Ohio) moves up a spot to #26 in Intermat's rankings, and checks in at 29
th in Wrestlestat. Lehman, also 2-0 on the season, has recorded wins against Morgan State's Eric Washington Jr by sudden victory, and 30
th ranked Wyatt Ingham of Wisconsin by decision, 7-0.
The Bobcats will return to action December 5-6, when they travel to Las Vegas to take part in the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational.
