
Ohio Swim and Dive Places First at the 2025 TYR’ 85 Invite

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Ohio swim and dive team wrapped up the final day of competition at the 2025 TYR' 85 Invite on Sunday evening (Nov. 23). The Bobcats concluded the three-day event with 2,768 total points, enough to hold off host Liberty, and claim first place at this year's event.
Liberty finished second with 2,410 points, followed by Campbell in third with 1,427.5 points.
The Bobcats opened the finals this evening with the 1650 free, with senior Anna McGrath (Lewis Center, Ohio) placing second with a time of 17:04.95, while freshman Katrina Kollin (Dublin, Ohio) finished fifth in 17:13.19.
Junior Melanie Schweikert (Maineville, Ohio) placed third in the 200 back, finishing with a time of 1:58.85. Freshman Lily Baumgartner (Ada, Ohio) finished fourth (1:50.92), while sophomore Juliana Slaninka (Mentor, Ohio) placed fifth with a time of 2:00.26.
Junior Zita Szoke (Serbia, Becej) placed first in the 100 free, touching in with a time of 47.65, while freshman Juliette Daigneault (Scottsdale, Ariz.) placed third with a time of 50.12.
In the 200 breast, senior Casadie DiBetta (St. Clairsville, Ohio) picked up the first-place finish, touching in with a time of 2:11.03, while senior Emily Ellsworth (Westerville, Ohio) placed fourth in 2:18.09.
Freshman Jana Macik (Aldie, Va.) earned a first-place finish in the 200 fly, finishing the race with a time of 1:59.86, while junior Isabella Arbaugh (Ann Arbor, Mich.) finished in fifth with a time of 2:03.36.
Ohio concluded the night with the 4x100 free relay, with the Ohio 'A' team of Szoke, Daigneault, freshman Tori Wittenberg (Medford, N.J.) and sophomore Jordan Claypoole (Parkersburg, W. Va.) placed first, finishing the relay with a time of 3:13.38.
In the platform dive, freshman Alyssa Kiszczak (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) finished third with a score of 197.18.
Up next, some of the Bobcats will be back in action Dec. 3-6 at the 2025 Toyota US Open in Austin, Texas. The Bobcat divers are back in action Jan. 8-10 at the UB Diving Invite, while the entire Ohio squad is back in action again on Friday, Jan. 16 against Bowling Green. Meet time is set for 5 p.m. at the Ohio University Aquatic Center. It will also be Senior Night.
