FORT WORTH, Texas — The Ohio football program's graduate student quarterback
Parker Navarro was named to the Davey O'Brien QB Class of 2025 today (Oct. 30, 3035), as announced by The Davey O'Brien Foundation.

The group includes three dozen players from across the nation who are now officially in contention for the 2025 Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award. This year's list features 17 seniors, 11 juniors, five sophomores and three freshmen. Navarro (Tempe, Ariz.) is one of fourteen athletes in the 2025 class who were featured on this year's Davey O'Brien Preseason Watch List.

Navarro (Tempe, Ariz.) is currently 140-for-207 with 11 passing touchdowns on 1,786 yards in the air. Notably, he has thrown for 4,437 yards as a Bobcat, making him the seventh quarterback in program history to log over 4,000 yards in the air. Also a force to be reckoned with on the ground, Navarro is second on the team in rushing yards (504) and carries (91).

So far this season, Navarro has earned Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week and MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week accolades twice apiece. On Oct. 1, he was named to the 2025 Hispanic College Football Player of the Year Award Watch List, as announced by the Hispanic Football Hall of Fame (HFHOF), and on Oct. 22, he was named a finalist for the 2025 William V. Campbell Trophy®, as announced by the National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame. Notably, Navarro is the Bobcats' first NFF National Scholar-Athlete.  In addition to the Davey O'Brien Preseason Watch List, Navarro was named to three more preseason watch lists: Walter Camp Player of the Year, the Maxwell Award and the Manning Award.
